| *CAFE MOCHA -- (Promised Day x John Peat) Sev. 6” fl. 26” sc. M. 30-35 buds. Nicely branched scapes with 3 laterals plus top branching. The flowers of ‘Cafe Mocha’ are an interesting shade of purple. There are underlying shades of coffee, chocolate and terra cotta. Truly distinctive, I don’t know of another daylily that looks like it. The flowers carry much of the formal, wide petalled , heavy gold edging of ‘John Peat’, but in a different color range. The flowers also have a lighter rose watermark and a green throat. Beautiful and distinctive. |
